Stefanie Marlis

COPYWRITER / STRATEGIST

I’m a writer of everything from the commercial to the literary. For the past sixteen years, I’ve worked as a copywriter in tandem with some of the Bay Area’s finest art directors and graphic designers. My client list includes: Chronicle Books, Clif Bar, Pine Ridge Winery, Robert Mondavi, The United Way, W Hotels, and Williams-Sonoma.

I’ve authored six books of poetry, two for Chronicle Books, and have won numerous professional and literary prizes, including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. I have an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. In 2003, I moved from the Bay Area to Patagonia, Arizona where I wrote a novel entitled, “Love (K)nots” and met the brilliant crew at WestWordVision. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with this petite but powerful agency on several projects, including marketing material for a new green residential development, a recycling program for the border city of Nogales, Arizona, and the new Bio Park at University of Arizona.

I currently live in The Bay area where I am “wielding my pen for green businesses and non-profits and art of any hue.”
